He was a dream in colour
When her nights were black
It had been so long
Since she had felt the sun
On her skin
She didn’t realize
How colourless
She had become
Just a shadowed soul
In an outline of greys
But out of the darkness
She dreamt him into being
To fall into his embrace
To light up her days
The way he coloured her dreams
