One simple thing

One small thing

Gone awry

And life changes

One decision 

One action

Chosen or taken

That cannot be taken back

One chromosome

One genome

Turned on or off

And we are changed

Some things are within our control

Others not

And yet it affects our life 

Just the same

One small thing 

One simple thing

And poof

Life changes...

But do we love it any less?
