We Are Imaginary 

When I shut my eyes

You are anyone

Any lips

Any mouth

Any taste

Any tongue

You are who 

I want you to be

Any arms

Any hands

Any fingers 

Any body

We are imaginary

This person before me

Is not the person 

I see

In my mind's eye

And I am unknown

To the one before me

Can he truly know me?

Or am I only

What he sees?

What he thinks

Of who I am

We are imaginary

But in our imagination

We are whole

We are known

And we are loved.
