When I think of the future

It’s full of pink neon lights

Dark nights 

And wet city streets

Technology rules

In this bleak dystopic world

Except it’s not the future

It's right now

We live in a world 

Full 

Of know it alls

Where everyone lives

What everyone does

Who everyone is

Because everyone 

Shares everything

With anyone

A virtual smorgasbord 

Of personal information

But my life is not 

For sale

I’m not available 

For public consumption

I won’t let you

Eat me alive
