Here we lie
Like two countries
Drawn by cartographers
Edges bleeding
Into one another
On faded parchment

Map obscured
By sheets and folds
Two nations
Rising against one another
Fighting for territory
And dominance

We explore the peaks and valleys
Smooth seas and rocky shore
All the undiscovered regions
Mapping our way
From one edge to the other

We are two distinct nations
On a shared expedition
Finding the boundaries
Between the provinces
Before we need to turn back
And return home
