It was as if she had blinked

And absolutely nothing had changed

Rip Van Winkle

Who fell asleep for 100 years

And when he awoke

Found the whole world had changed

In the blink of an eye

Perhaps I’d like to fall asleep

For a moment

Or an eternity

And when I awake

Find that everything

And nothing has changed
