In a Fog
I haven’t the foggiest idea
Where I’m going
Or how to get there
I turn
And turn
And turn again
90
180
360
And I can’t see anything
Beyond the edge of light
Past the ends
Of my crossed fingers
Hoping I’m pointed
In the right direction
But every once in awhile
The fog lifts
And I catch a clear glimpse of sky
I can see the sun
The stars
The moon
But most importantly
I see you
And I know
Exactly where I’m heading
