Here I Am
What do you want?
I see you there.
What are you looking at?
Why do you stare?
Do you want to meet me?
Ask me my name?
Do you want to kiss me?
Is that why you came?
Do you want one night?
Or something more?
Is this the first time,
Or have you seen me before?
Don't just stand there,
It's time to be brave!
If you want me,
If I'm what you crave.
Don't be timid,
See if you can.
Come and get me,
Because here I am!
Look at this sass! Yah yah eee! :)

DeleteI love the sassy gal in the photo........this poem made me smile.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I used to bartend and this image called out to me!
DeleteI smiled too, Lori. My mother's words came to me as they often do, still, "You won't find a nice girl in a bar." Mrs. Jim found me at a community eating gathering. I was not supposed to be there but my roommate said wait, "Jim might come."
Delete"Yah yah eee!!" Mrs. Jim and KP, our ten-year-old granddaughter, were singing that on the way home from the Children's Museum this afternoon.
..
Lol! Funnily enough I was given the same advice. Except it was about the boys in bars. I would have been singing along with them!
DeleteLove it! Sassy, here I am!
