Today I buried myself

All my hopes and dreams

I wrote on slips of paper

And tucked them inside a mason jar

I dug into the ground

With cold fingers

Until the hole was deep

And hollow 

Today I buried myself

My hopes and dreams

In a grave

That was meant for me
