Waves
In these still waters when all is calm
It is smooth sailing with gentle tack
A steady voyage onward
Navigating with the wind at my back
But the brooding storm is starting to make waves
And it rocks my little boat to and fro
And I can feel the sickness rise and settle in my throat
The sea spray tears my face
These rougher waters are harder to navigate
Jibe ho, adjusting course
Hoping not to overturn
My little vessel
But even so I know how to right myself
Set sails into the wind and find the calm in the storm
And if necessary ride out these waves
