I sometimes wonder

What Eve was thinking

Before she bit the fruit

Tasted the forbidden flesh

That changed her life

And uprooted Eden

There was no shame

Only desire

And a longing for more

More than Adam's body

More than man's wife

More than this perfect garden

Would the thoughts of Eve

Mirror my own

For a life more known
