Island in the Dark

Night is the time for lovers, for loss, for longing,
Love spent blissfully beside an ocean of tears.
Darkness holds opportunity in its hands,
A gift it gives, to those willing to close their eyes.
It is forever and now at once,
All the time that is ever needed.
To sleep, to dream, to wake, to find each other again,
A black island, within a blue sea.
