Eyes Wide

She kissed him with eyes open. She needed to make sure he wasn’t a dream and she wouldn’t believe he was here until her lips met his. She touched his face, slid her hands through his hair to his neck, pulling him toward her she placed her mouth on his. Soft and tender his lips parted and she felt his tongue slide against hers. He was real. She no longer needed to see, she felt him. Her eyes closed as she slipped into him. From this moment, it would be that kiss she felt every time she closed her eyes.
