Seeds of Yesterday

Seeds of Yesterday

Fascinated by youth and whimsy
Riding the coattails of childhood
Innocence gathered
Beside babbling stream
Summer sun burned
As unseen eyes observed
The grace of womanhood
Spread like a picnic on the shore
How the weather turned
From blue skies to grey
And no amount of water
Could measure the growth
Planted by a single tear
When sowing
The seeds of yesterday
