I will never change the world

I won't be famous

People won't scream my name

In crowded stadiums

I won't bring home

The championship ring

Or stand on a podium

While the Canadian anthem plays

I won't be a famous politician

Or prime minister
I won't walk the red carpet
Like a glamorous singer or movie star

But if I have touched you

If I have meant something to you

If I have said or done something

To make you feel better

If I have set a good example

If you have loved me

And I have loved you in return

Then this small life

Is plenty big enough for me
