Orpheus' Lament
I do not think you understand
This war was never really planned
It's destiny that makes the call
And hearts don't get their say at all
The soul I thought would not be found
With yours had been so deeply bound
But all for naught I did descend
Into this hell without an end
For time is like the battle cry
That slowly waits for love to die

So sad but true
ReplyDeleteIt is a sad story, it's loosely based on the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. But even in myth there usually is a grain of truth.
