Lone Wolf
In the last photo I have of you
Snow is falling in large flakes
They help soften the hardness
Of your stance
The cold seems fitting
You are mostly unaffected
And it matches your eyes
You are smiling
But now it looks more
Condescending than kind
I can’t find any colour in the sky
It’s a washed out white
Compared to the dark evergreens
You stand before
A snapshot of Canadian winter
Nothing but grey
Matching the hair and whiskers
Of a lone wolf
Snow is falling in large flakes
They help soften the hardness
Of your stance
The cold seems fitting
You are mostly unaffected
And it matches your eyes
You are smiling
But now it looks more
Condescending than kind
I can’t find any colour in the sky
It’s a washed out white
Compared to the dark evergreens
You stand before
A snapshot of Canadian winter
Nothing but grey
Matching the hair and whiskers
Of a lone wolf
