Trash to Treasure
Keep feeling like
All I do is shit
I look at it
And think it’s garbage
But every once in awhile
I catch a word
Or a single line
That sparkles
And I go back
And take another look
Until I find what caught my eye
There’s treasure buried in there
Somewhere
Waiting to be unearthed
I just gotta dig around a bit
Maybe get a little dirty
Before I can spot it
Likely all it needs
Is a bit of spit and polish
To make it shine
After all
One man’s trash
Is another man’s treasure
Guess I’ll keep dredging
Through the muck
To see what materializes
Who knows
It might be worth something
