Red Queen
She surrounds herself
With sycophantic fakes
And makes herself up
As a red queen
Spilling spiteful words
From the made up mind
Of a little girl
She’s stuck in time
Unable or unwilling to grow up
Lacking any empathy
She lays out her imaginary hurts
For all to bare witness
“Look at me!” she cries
While pointing at you
Truth is she needs the attention
Otherwise she might disappear
Who would she be then?
Just another pawn
In a game of pretend
