I cannot fathom
All the moments
That could have been
That are now lost to us both
To be held so close and so dear
It would seem that we could burn forever
Only to be blown out so quickly and completely
That we are extinguished by a moment's passing

I remember that moment, during my last serious relationship before my Piano Man. It was... powerful. And breathtakingly memorable.
