Till Music is Heard No More
I dance in madness
Not hallowed be
I dance foot loose
And fancy free
I dance in hunger
Not waining strife
On stilted legs
That cling to life
I dance in sorrow
Not pleasures feigned
Never released
Lest found again
I dance in darkness
Not seeking light
Eclipsing sun
With eyes shut tight
I dance as one
Not seen before
I dance till music
Is heard no more
I really enjoyed this poem Lori, it had a great beat to it.

DeleteThe repetition in this poem is so effective in providing a beat to your silent dance, Lori. I love the rhythm of this piece and the footloose defiance!

DeleteDancing until the music is heard no more. Exactly the way to live life.
