This is exquisitely drawn, Lori! 💝 You have packed so much emotion and imagery in this little precious poem 😃 I love the idea of 'scarlet days,' thank you so much for writing to the prompt!
A wonderfully oxymoronic title, Lori, and I love the sensuality of ‘scarlet days’ and ‘roses you taste’ – in my experience, there are usually some kind of thorns.

ReplyDeleteThank you. I have to say the red fruits are my favourite.
DeleteLorilicious!
ReplyDeleteMy new favourite word! Lol.
DeleteAh, those scarlet days translate into delicious jams and jellies in my mother's kitchen!
ReplyDeleteI won't eat anything but homemade jam. They are definitely the best.
DeleteI join you in raspberry temptation.
ReplyDeleteCheers! Thank you.
DeleteSmall and delicious like a raspberry! I loved the brevity, the metaphors, and the wonderful title which can be taken two ways. Altogether brilliant.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteShort and very sweet!
ReplyDeleteThank you!

ReplyDeleteIn mine as well. Thank you.
DeleteOh you've always got to watch out for those thorns. But for a taste of that sweet stuff, it's worth the risk.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. Thanks .
DeleteAh raspberries. Love them, and your little poem, too.
ReplyDeleteSweet. Thank you.
DeleteYum! Love raspberries and the wonderful jam they make.
